Looking at getting a solar cover. Im debating between a single sheet the size of the pool, and "squares". To me the squares would be easier to remove/put back, as for time being Im not getting a roller rack if I got a single cover. Figure I can stack the squares on a spot on the deck and then put back when done, vs manhandling a larger cover. Spouse was concerned about stuff still falling in between gaps, but thats not really what I want it for, mainly for water management/temps. It catching anything falling in is just a bonus.

Thoughts, pros/cons? TIA!

People cut large covers into smaller pieces that are more manageable all the time. I think you would want strips across at the very least instead of a checkerboard of squares. You wouldn't be able to adjust the middle squares very well when the wind blew them around.
