What flow rates do people (with variable speed pumps) typically run on their pools?

Depends on your equipment setup.

No SWG or heater you can run a very low flow.

With a SWG and/or heater depends what the minimum flow is for the devices.

SWG can be happy with around 15 GPM. Heaters can need 20-40 GPM.

So it sounds like since I'll have a SWG that my typical flow rate should be high enough for the pre-filter to do its thing. Thanks again for the help!
