Well as the title say I’m thinking about putting in a swg just not sure about my situation I have a spillover spa. I have concerns that if I’m operating in spa only mode that the f.c could get to high. Is this a concern that is justified or not a big deal.

Provide us more detail on what you have for pool equipment. Do you have automation? How do you control the spa? What brand equipment do you have?
I have a simple pool with w spill over spa but if I just use the spa I turn off my SWG. Not sure it would matter for a coupe of hours but send pictures of your setup
I don’t presently have automation but I am considering it. I have a pentair vs pump system 3 D.E filter. And aquacal t135 heat pump my understating is the autopilot system works directly with it. I manually control 3way Valves when I want to use only the spa. I will post a picture after work.
