Got home from out of town a week ago, water was a little green. Been doing SLAM for a week and think I’m finally finished. Passed OCLT, CC is 0, and water could be clearer but my TA was high when I started.

All in, dumped about 10 gallons of bleach in, roughly cost $50 total. This is my first year using TFP way so curious to see what my total chemical cost is for the season. Wish I could compare it to what I spent last year. 10,000 gallon, 21’ round steel construction.

I am done doing SLAM for the season. I’m ready to give my pump a break from running 24/7. And definitely going to look into switching to a CS pump

Grid pic attached is Monday night, Thursday and then today (Sunday). And other one is from today (Sunday). How’d I do?

You did great but make sure the real clear in the water is there. I'd recommend to go for the slam just one more day for the extra insurance. Also since TFP has benefited you it would be nice to become a supporting member by donating through Become a TFP Supporter.

I would call your Sunday pictures a bit cloudy. Just monitor and keep filtering. What type of filter do you have? It is is not shown in your signature.

Sand, pool was installed in 2020 so I don’t think the sand needs to be replaced yet?

That’s what I was wondering-if I should keep the SLAM going for another day or two. I’ll be spending some time in there today and I’ll be doing a full test of the chemicals later (my alkalinity has been high since I started testing-keep adding MA but I couldn’t get it below 120 before I started the SLAM last week)

Sand never needs replaced if you do not contaminate it with pool store potions.
