Greetings from central Virginia! I just found your site a few weeks ago and already realize how much money you are going to save me. Stopped using the tri-chlor pucks at the beginning of the season but still trying to use up the big bucket of hypo-chlor the pool store sold me, and need to find a local source for bleach. Before finding TFP I just used the dip strips for testing, and would go to the pool store every few weeks for testing and would come out with several bottles/bags of stuff and a much lighter wallet. Haven't been back in weeks. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the new Hayward chlorinator I just bought last year. ;)

You can save the pucks, as long as the pucks are kept dry in a sealed container they will last for years. You can use them when you have to be out of town for a few days. You just have to check your CYA level first and adjust it if needed. I would save the cal-hypo too. With a vinyl liner you don't need much calcium and too much calcium will lead to scale formation. Keep it sealed and dry and it should be fine.

And if you still have an excess of cash, you could get a drone so you can take pictures like this of your CLEAR pool!

That was the weekend I took the winter cover off of my pool... I LOVE TFP!
