I found this site for my husband. Bless his heart! He is starting a build on a deck around our above ground oval pool. This project has taken WAYYYYY longer than we expected. The first mistake? we made was pulling permits. We live in Wichita KS and the inspectors have been a nightmare. They pinged the electrician a couple of times. The inspector insisted he put grounds all around the pool because he said it was fiberglass. I put a magnet on the pool. The electrician had to go over this guys head to get it straightened out. Ugggg! We finally got the inspectors blessing to start the deck. We had to hire an engineer because they wouldn't approve our post size which is 4 x 4's. Anyhow, I am happy I found this website! Hopefully my husband will be too. This is the pool so far.
