Hadn't seen this build before..... You've made me reconsider the skimmer mod. Previously I've not thought much about it, as I don't was to lose water depth. But seeing yours that high makes me want to do it...... Deck looks like it's going to be fantastic.

Thank you. Yeah the skimmer mod is well worth it if you go higher. I think I have a thread on it. It won't leak, don't worry. Just do it right. One of the best mods bar none. Hard plumbing and filter upgrade obviously as well.

I suspect I have been lucky to get 4 seasons out of my Intex sand filter. The timer just quit and we've already had to replace the cord last year. If/when it dies and I get a bit bigger one, I might do it all at once. I'll look for your post about it.

Thanks for the taking the time to keep this documented, very well done, and a great looking project! The deck looks awesome so far! I'm currently doing the exact same thing, so I totally understand the work involved. Nice job! :goodjob:
