My spa light (pentair SAL), stopped working I drained the spa and replaced the bulbs. Still not working. Checked breakers etc and nothing tripped. I want to test power from the cord. Can I turn the light on without bulbs while it is out of the water to test this, or will it melt the light assembly? The assembly is marked must be submerged to operate? Thanks

you can always stick it in a bucket that you fill with tap water.
