I'm just about to purchase my first testing setup for my SWG liner pool.

While the magnetic stir device is strictly optional....no one (read: NO ONE!) has ever regretted having it once they try it. It is like having a third hand. It does the "swirling/mixing" of the vial for you so that you can concentrate on counting the drops while testing.

My only suggestion is to order a couple extra magnetic beans..... I tend to lose a few yearly, I dunno why.

I believe the TF-100 comes with 2 vials and the SpeedStir comes with 1 magnetic bean. For convenience (if you're lazy like me), you want 3 vials and 3 beans to cover the FC, CH, and TA tests without having to stop & rinse in between. You can order extras along with the main kit.
