can I realisticly get a fairly accurate reading on a CYA test today, its cloudy and raining ? Would it be ok to get a water sample and test it in the house in a well lit area, like under a lamp.
My water is clear after sweeping & vacuming numerous times. I have put liquid chlorine to it and happy on how its going so far. However i think i need to balance all chemicals and SLAM for good measure. problem it's gonna rain for next 3 days.

Bright, indirect light is fine to read CYA. Do realize if you do the test in another environment, say outside in bright sun, you may get a different value, but in general, it will all be within the normal range of error for the test.

It was a bright, sunny, beautiful day we were in Halifax -- but that was nearly 3 weeks ago.
