3 weeks is a long time to leave a pool essentially unattended.

A SLAM may be required when you return.

I would....

Leave pH alone unless it has demonstrated a tendency to rise rather quickly.

Use six pucks instead of three

back from the vacation, and noticed that CC - has been up slightly to 0.5. though there was slight algae growth, may be due to filter running for 4 hours for last few days instead of previously set 12 hours due to sifting off key on the filter.

Added pH down as it was 7.8 and will check FC loss tonight. Overall, i think it was much easier experience especially with 6 pucks added as per your advice. Thank You.

Water is perfectly balanced, OCLT and CC is zero, and deep end visible. Yet, I need to scrub daily to find algae growth every place, even with robot running.

pH was decreased from 7.9 to 7.3 (with 3 lbs pH down, as i still have left overs) , hoping this will ensure CL effectiveness to be better with CYA - 30.

What would be the right course of action for algae?

- Alkalinity can be increased from 60 to 70
- Adding Tri-Chlor Tablets in order to compensate daily CL loss of 3 ppm
