Pool was opened and balanced and salt level via Taylor test kit is 3600ppm.

However my aqua rite system is saying 4100ppm. I tried recalibrating several times (off-on-click then button 5x) and it still reads high. Salt cell is replacement from discountsaltpool.com that worked fine from last season.

It appears to be a producing chlorine ok, although it did fault out in “high salt” a few times until it settled down.

Anyone have any ideas?

Yup, we have had a bunch of reports of high salt readings from non-Hayward cells lately. Folks who replaced it with Hayward cells found their boards went back to normal readings.

If you check your diagnostic information you will find you also have high amps between 7 and 8. That will over time overheat the board and components which may burn out and fail.

Check that the cell type set in the panel agrees with the actual cell model. The wrong cell model will cause incorrect salt readings.

Otherwise you can live with what you have or replace it with a Hayward cell.
