swg control

Just to confirm - your Signature shows a Pentair Intellitouch I7 --- does that need to be updated?

How many gallons in your new pool?

For an Aqualink you want the Jandy Aquapure system. A TruClear or Fusion Soft without the mineral cartridge may also work depending on your pool size. But an Aquapure is a more robust system.

OK --

Aqualink is a Jandy product. So a Jandy Aquapure will work with it. You will need to contact a Jandy Dealer for price and installation.

Is there a way for the jandy system to just turn power on and off on a circuit? If so you could go DIY and save massive money instead of buying from a Jandy dealer... A SWG is a check and set system, I change mine 3 times a year, low in the spring and fall and higher for summer...

Yes, that's the way I installed mine before upgrading the controls to a Pentair Intellicenter. I used a spare relay supplied from the load side of the pump relay. You do lose the ability to control % power which is probably why many don't like to interchange brands. But I found that % power does not need to be changed often, in my case it was the same for 3 years. You do get full independent control over runtime. With this approach I was able to use a Circupool RS 30+ which had better warranty, better $/lb FC production, and most important to me full warranty for a DIY installation so I saved over $1000 on installation. Of course this approach is not for everybody but it is definitely an option if you have a spare relay.

I hope this is helpful.

Exactly, I now have an RJ60 on my 15k pool, I run it very little and just turn it on and off with automation.. I adjust the percentage myself.. :)
