Swg backwards?

Is there a reason for this besides an idiot installation? It's between the filter and the pipes to the returns/ water features.

It will work either way. However, the arrow shows the preferred direction.

I've had my Circupool both ways and there is no difference. I wonder if the temperature reading is affected since one way is pre treatment, the other way post treatment.

I have a different SWCG but every time I inspect the cell I change the direction I mount it to reverse the flow. Just figured it might help a little in the long run.

easy enough to correct. just unscrew it and reverse the installation direction. Seem like the installation manual gave some explanation for this but I don't recall.
