I have read some material in TFP and watched many videos about pool maintenance including SWCGs, but I need to come to terms with all the barrage of information. I aim to save as much money as possible without giving up on the pool serviceman.
I have replaced the old, very dirty filter with a new brand-name one, to be safe. The brand new gauge shows 18 PSI now and I think I should clean it at 22.5 PSI.
This SWCG is showing: Desired Output% set at 100%, lights on for the Check Salt and Inspect Cell so I think is due for a cleaning with Muriatic Acid diluted to 2 water to 1 Acid. This is my shopping list for the cleaning: 1-Muriatic acid, 2 One screw-on plastic caps to seal the bottom of the cell to retain the acid while it works, 3- Two new O rings for the disconnecting rings on either side of the cell.
Where can I purchase the plastic cap and two O rings to replace the old ones?
Thanks

I would not clean the cell with Muriatic acid...it will shorten the life of the cell. Muriatic should be LAST line of defense.

Go here to see how to clean:

How old is the cell? Look on the cell for the serial number. First digit is length of warranty followed by when it was manufactured
How are you testing your water?
Can you post a full set of results?

Echoing above, dont clean it with acid! First check the salt level since the error says the salt is low.

The water is being maintained by a service and the person is not available right now, a new person is being interviewed on Friday to continue the water part, and maybe let him do the equipment also. It looks like that's the direction this is going and maybe I won't be involved since I am not qualified. Thank you for the reply, will inform later.

You are totally qualified. It can seem like theres a barrage of info to learn but its really easy if you get your own test kit and itll be way less money and headaches long term. The service persons are not guaranteed trouble free.
