SWCG advice

Sooo, another question. Right now FC is 8. Should I turn off the SWG until it comes down to 4? CYA is 60.

Just lower the SWG % by half and see if your FC starts drifting down.

You can. Or just leave it and see what happens as the pool water warms and people start swimming in it. No one call tell the difference between a 8 or 4 ppm FC with a CYA of 50.

Well it's on 25% (lowest setting) and yesterday I gained 1ppm FC. Per my calculations I should need to put it on 50% once we actually start swimming. New to SWCG and just don't want to mess anything up. Overthinking things is what I do, lol. Thanks for all the help guys!

Fiberglass pools can have issues with cobalt staining, especially at low CH levels.

How old is your pool?

If you have gone 12 years and no big issues, I would not change.

You can search for Cobalt staining. Black dots are what they typically show up as.
