After looking at the ingredients on many sunscreens, it was apparent they mostly use the same chemicals. The only change i notice after having multiple bathers with sunscreen on is a slightly higher loss in fc. I usually lose an extra 1ppm or so when family swims... which has been almost every day for the past month. There is a temporary glimmer of oils on the top of the water but it's gone by the next day.
No matter how long you let the kids dry after applying, some will wash off. Even with the wet/swim brands. Keep 2 or 3 tennis balls floating around. They’ll find their way to the skimmer and suck up a lot of the oils. The worst that happens is a kid finds it in the skimmer, plays with it for 5 minutes and it will start its journey back to the skimmer.

It’s Rednecktacular !! Or you can spend good money on specially designed ‘slime balls’ that might work as good as a 3 pack of tennis balls that were $4.
