Day one... Too Cold

Day two.. Perfect!!!

Day three... Too Hot..

It is not the end of June and my pool is more like a spa than a pool. Seems to me this does not normally happen until the middle or end of August.

Sigh,

Jim R.

I saw mid season UV loss at the end of May, which is insane for here. Similar reports have come in from Los Angeles and Ft Lauderdale so I'm pretty sure ALOT of the country is seeing the early onslaught this year.

We're actually in pretty good shape in the Houston area this summer compared with 2023. In 2023 we got an extended stretch of dry 100+ days starting in early/mid-June. By comparison, 2024 has offered a more gradual warm up and LOTS more rain. The May 16th derecho which knocked out our power for 4 days was the only hiccup.

Pool water got up to 92 today. I'm only mildly annoyed by high water temps once they hit about 95+, which are probably coming in the next few weeks.
