I have a CircuPool Universal 40 that's been outstanding. It's around 10 years old, however I replaced the control board and cell around 1 year ago. Out of the blue a few days ago, it threw a low salt warning. I checked the salt level in the pool, and it's well within spec (3600). I went ahead and pulled the cell, and noticed very little scaling, but I cleaned it anyway. I reinstalled it, and it worked fine until the next morning. When the system fired up, it threw another low salt warning.
Toggling through the menu, I noticed that the salt reading on the control unit that regularly updates the salt level was at 0000. When the system works, the control unit is reporting a salt level of 3,600, which matches my test result. If I turn the system off, then back on again, it will work fine for the entire day and seems to register an accurate salt reading. Fast forward to the next morning, and when it fires up, it throws another low salt warning. Any idea what might be causing the low salt warning at start-up, and why would it work fine the entire day after an off/on action?
Thanks!
