I have used pentair screenlogic to create a schedule for my pool.
I have also just opened the pool in the last week.

twice now I have seen my heater running when it "shouldnt be". each time i look, the set point is being somehow overridden and is way up to 40C.(like 104F).
besides this costing a lot if unchecked I just dont want my pool this hot.

Is this a known problem, or am I missing something or doing something wrong?
I would like to keep the pool at about 26C(84F), but so far anytime I have checked why the heater keeps running, it seems to be the set point has been overridden in the software.

here is a screenshot... as you can see, it's very basic. Instead of adding heat commands, I just have a set point and rely on that. not ideal.
I think I know what happened... so hear me out.

As a Canadian my pool is all setup to work in celsius mode.
The heat ccommand on the ios and pc app schedules screen seems to only allow temps in F, even if the system is configured for C.
When I chose 84F, I think the software interpreted this as 84C, and was overriding my set point to the max (which seems to be 40).

I guess the only way to verify my theory is to setup a new heat command... which I'd like to do because really I only want to heat at night for now.
In fact, I'd like to add a few degrees every weeknight during the 7pm-7am cycle...but not worry about daytime water temps.

Aaron,

I am not sure of what the problem is, but as a test, I suggest you set up a schedule identical to one of mine above except for Pool instead of Spa and see if that works.. If it does, you will know the heater relay works...

If you click on the schedule, it will open up the bottom of the screen and show the same info as in my pic.

Thanks,

Jim R.
