I finally switched to SWG so I am donating my chlorine tablets to a friend. I currently have the chlorine tabs individually wrapped in their original buckets in a plastic deck box. I want to take the chlorine out, and store bottles of muriatic acid in the box instead. Knowing the two should never mix, what is the safest way to make the switch? I am paranoid about any leftover chlorine fumes after removing the chlorine from the box.
Am I being too paranoid and should I just make the switch? Should I hose out the box? Leave it open and wait a certain amount of time before placing the muriatic acid bottles in it?

To be clear they will never both be in the box. Just want to confirm if I should do anything after taking the chlorine tablet buckets out and before putting the muriatic acid bottles in. The acid is champion acidblue which is meant to be low fumes but obviously not NO fumes.

Thanks!

Don't fear muriatic acid, respect it. You need eye protection. You should NOT pre-mix. Don't use rubber gloves (if acid gets in the glove and you struggle to get the glove off, the longer the contact the worse it is...if you get a little on your hand/arm, just dunk it in the pool!!!!)

I don't even use a measuring cup. The fewer times I need to handle it the better. Just lower the jug and set it on the water (don't let go!), let the water support the jug, then pour out about what you want. After a while you will get good at home much a cup or two cups looks like.
