I just wanted to give an update for people searching for Stonescapes mini pebble pictures. Here is the updated image of our water as of day 10. It's actually a bit bluer in real life than it shows. These are full sun images:

As it is, your pool and the finish color looks outstanding.

That said, the color of the finish does not seem to be close to what you wanted (and paid for). If it were my pool, I'd be making some noise.

I thought about it, but in the end I don't think it's his fault. I chose the color based on samples I took home from a showroom without my PB being there, and of course NPT has the disclaimer that colors will vary. The samples are just way off and anyone trying to choose mini pebble should definitely take that into consideration. The application of the pebble itself is flawless - there's no mottling, streaking, uneven pebbles, etc. so I have no complaints there either. Maybe it'll blue up more after time. If it does, I'll post another picture for people considering this color.

Thanks all!

Glad this got better for you. I read it before and felt bad, just didn't know what to say with you so sick over it. I would be the exact same if it were me so I understand. Really glad it is looking up. I really like the look now, and it is so much better. That is a really nice crisp blue.

Thank you. I was literally sick to my stomach over it for the first week, but in the end it worked out - not as dark blue as I wanted, but just the right color to match our look. I talked to my PB yesterday and commented on how worried I was about the color it was for the first week and he confessed that the water was initially bypassing the filter upon start up. :hammer:

I can't over emphasize how much I would have felt the same. I agonize over choices like that to the nth degree, because I always over research and learn about every possible option out there. Reaching a decision would be hard enough but being disappointed in the final result would be a gut wrenching feeling. However, I have to say that if my finish turns out with that gorgeous a blue color I will be thrilled. It is absolutely beautiful and I hope you getting happier with it. We have decided we want no less than quartz agg for our finish, and we may upgrade to a pebble. Either way, I know I will flip flop 20 times before I decide on a color and it will still be a bit of a Crud shoot. Thanks for sharing this with us, I've enjoyed it.

I like it a lot actually. It's gotten darker than those initial photos. Your pool is deeper than mine is, so the color would come out quite nicely IMO. Here is a picture from my phone this morning (the lighting is a little washed out because of the sun.)

I am surprised your PB did not mention this to you ahead of time. We just had ours redone and they kept reminding us that it would not look right at first. As we were filling it it took on a greenish tint right away. Had we not known ahead to expect this we would have freaked.

This is exactly what our pool looks like and it’s supposed to be French Grey. I wanted a darker blue but the co. rep adamantly pushed me away from it. I was clear I wanted a deep blue with no green. We’ve gone from swamp water green to leaning toward turquoise. It’s been a terrible experience. We’re two weeks in with mostly chem balanced days. CH was low at first and pH all over the place. TA good. Added chlorine (liquid bleach) fourth day and it became more green. Tested for metals and none. Brushing 3-4x per day and still getting tons of dust. Right now I really hate the color and the surface we chose.

We have a 15 x 32 inground pool that we resurfaced last year with Stonescape mini pebble with the Tahoe Blue color. Just like so many we were really worried about the green color in the Tahoe Blue. Our color turned out great and the color is beautiful. We do not have any abalone in our pool. First picture is with no water and the other 2 are with different amounts of light.
