Step trim tile- when should this be done?

So our plaster guys just left and I realized my PB has not installed our step trim tile. (Little blue tiles out lining each step and the bench)
Should that have already been done? Or is there still time?

Step trim tile needed to be installed before plaster so that it is sunk into the plaster.

They should have been in place prior to the plaster. It can probably be done by chipping out the plaster and then repairing it but may not match perfectly with the first plaster.

Depends on the plaster company, some plaster crews do the installation to insure that the elevation is correct for the type of plaster being installed.
