Stand-alone Solar Heating?

I'm in northwest NJ with a 28K gallon 20' x 40' in-ground pool. It is not heated and I have no intention of installing a conventional heater for a number of reasons. My ultimate goal is to relocate the pump/filter to my detached garage and install solar water heaters on the south-facing roof of that.

In the meantime, my daughter has asked for a family pool party for her birthday at the end of June. Normally, our pool gets to around 75F (give or take, mostly take) by the end of June. This is obviously swimmable, but cold for the adults who have to go in with the kids.

I'm wondering if there are any simple options to get some heat into the pool so I might stand a chance of getting it to the low- to mid-80s by the end of June. I was looking at solar collectors (since I could buy a good one and repurpose it on my garage roof down the line). I'd be willing to spend on ONE, but I don't want several sitting on my pool deck until I get around to moving the equipment and getting them up on the roof (which could be a few years). But if I'm understanding the rough math, one of those might get me +2.5 degrees in a day, and then I'd give it all back (and more) at night.

Do they make a portable, diesel pool heater? I've been looking, but can't find one. I've also given some thought to buying a hot-water pressure washer (which uses diesel for heating the water) and then adding some plumbing to allow it to do either high-flow/low-pressure (with a separate pump) or normal, pressure washer mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Get a solar cover and use it, especially at night. The pool will warm a bit and retain heat overnight.
