That, is Sodium Bromide. You now have a Bromine pool. Depending on how much bromine is in the pool, you should be prepared to drain and refill to regain your ability manage this pool with chlorine.

OK -- so you did not add the entire container. Good.

No. That amount of sodium bromide will not effect things. Thank you for clarifying.

Take care.

Though I only used two cap fulls of it , I definitely am having an issue with maintaining FC.
FC-0
CC- 0
PH-7.0
TA-70
CYA-70
CH-100
BOR—50
After adding a gallon of 10% chlorine and running salt cell all day and all night.

FC was 5 last night

What is the amount of FC being added to your pool each day by the SWCG? T15 generates 1.4 lb of chlorine per 24 hour period set at 100%.

Nothing to test. It is a calculation.

Hours your SWCG is on, % setting it is on, resulting in how much chlorine (in ounces) are you adding to the pool each day.

Go to PoolMath, use the Effects of Adding Chemicals. Input gallons of pool, # of ounces and select Chlorine gas.

The math:
10/24 * 1.4 *16 = 9.3 ounces of chlorine gas per day.

PoolMath. Effects of Adding Chemicals. It is adding 2.6 ppm FC to the pool each day.

That may cover your daily use in the middle of summer.

At a CYA of 70 or 80.
