I have recently purchased my hot tub. I have always had a pool to care for and in my reading several places suggest no stabilizer as it can harm hot tubs. Thoughts.
That's BS. We advocate for 30ppm of stabilizer in any chlorine sanitized hot tub. Never heard one person say it was a problem.
Ozone isn't going to sanitize much in the hot tub.. you need more than just that. What are you using?
We just put a small Saltron Mini Salt Water Chlorine Generator in our hot tub ($170ish) and am tickled at how easy its going to make things, just like the pool! I highly recommend one
The hot tub came with pool life shock. We have been using a teaspoon a week and things have been great with the tub chemistry. Until last night we checked the levels and the CYA was 300. Out of the blue it just jumped. We checked it twice.
With the TFTtestkit and I also used the Aquachek strips. I did both test twice. It just didn't seem right that over night for it to jump. We drained, cleaned and refilled today.
