Hello all! Getting started with our glorified kiddie pool 😂. I have been stirring stabilizer in a bucket all day. It looks exactly the same. I’ve tried to read all I can here. How would putting it in a sock work with my type of pool? (Easy set) Would I just float it in here? I don’t want to damage anything. What do I do with what’s in the bucket??? Should I just keep stirring, hoping for the best, while I go ahead and add the recommended amount of chlorine tonight? The pool has been up for about 20 hours now.

When you put stabilizer in a sock, just find a way to let it pre-soak in the pool. Hang it from a pole or a tab floater. You just don't want it to sit against the vinyl for very long. After about 30 min, squeeze the sock to get all the mush out.

Probably a lot softer now, though. If you pour it out of the bucket into a sock, you can probably just hold it underwater and squeeze for a couple minutes to strain it through the fabric.

Thank you for replying so fast Texas and Drew! Is it safe for me to hold a sock to pour that into? I have a floater that came with my net, etc. that I could put the sock in since I’m using liquid chlorine, is that a good idea? 🤷🏻‍♀️

CYA is a very mild acid. It might bother your hands if you are really sensitive, but does not bother mine.
