Hi!

I started to notice my spa water is cloudy at times, but then clears itself. I have seen this for the past few weeks. I did not think anything at first, but now i am worry something else maybe at play. Pool water is clear. Chemestry on both Pool and Spa are as follows:
FC 4 PPM
CC 0 PPM
TA 80 PPM
PH 7.5 PPM
CHA 375
CYA 75PPM

Any help will be appreciated.

Likely air or hydrogen from the SWCG entrained in the spa returns. Turn off the spillover flow and see if it stops happening.

Hi! your last comment said to turn off the spa spill over. I do not see an option to do so on my pool controls.
Post pics of your equipment pad from a few different angles.
You likely have a spa make up line.
Does the spa continuously spill over into the pool when the puump is running?

Hi!

Here are pictures of the equipment pad, but yes, my spa spill over is continuously pouring water into pool when the pump is running.

Take a few pics from different angles showing the entire pad in the frame.
Looking for details on the return side to see if there is a spa make up valve.

Your automation system should have a spillway mode that allows the spa to spill into the pool on a set schedule.
It may need to be set up directly thru the automation panel at the equipment pad.
Let's see if @HermanTX has any insight.

Need a photo of the return plumbing where the flow leaving the heater goes to the 3-way valve then diverts to either the pool or spa.
Also need a photo of the inside of the automation panel with the panel in front of the board removed. I am looking for the dipswitch on the left hand side. The 3rd one controls Spillover mode but it also affects what is connected to AUX 3 on the relays below it.

Hi! Here is a picture showing the return out of the heater. Also took other showing the spa's valves.

Post some pics of the plumbing where is comes out of the heater, runs to the SWG and then thru the pool/spa valve (and any other valves) back into the ground to return to the pool.
Would prefer to see the entire return side to see where or if a spa make up line and valve is plumbed.

What is presently wired to aux relay 3?
What is the actuator on the return side (pool/spa valve) wired to?

Hi! It's dark now and don't think pictures will come out good. I will take more pictures tomorrow, I think the one I sent have all valves and SWG circled items and let me know if you still need more pictures. As per what is on aux relay 3. Not sure, I am not too handy. How can I find this out? However, if the aux correspond to the buttons starting with pump as 1. Then as per the picture I sent for the control panel. It seems that aux 3 is pool lights. Also on the same picture, it shows valves controls, but I do not see one for spillover.

After the SWG and the valve after it, one pipe goes to the spa and the other to the pool.
Are there any other pipes connected to the pool side pipe?
Maybe cut some of the foliage back near that area so you dan take a pic from a different angle.

It appears the return valve (pool/spa) is set to not fully shut off the water returning to the spa.
The valve actuator stops would need to be adjusted to allow the return water to the spa to be off.

As for the #3 relay...
Show pics of the entire interior of the box with the wires and relays showing in the same frame.
We need to see what is attached to relay 3 and where those wires run.

Relay 3 appears to be powered from the Filter Pump relay.
But we can't see where the wires on terminals 2 and 4 run.

The relays on the panel are from left to right - Filter pump, Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3, etc. So if your panel is marked properly it shows that Aux 3 is the spa pump. So what I would do is take the wire in socket for Aux 3 and move it to Aux 5. Then hit the button to determine if the spa pump comes on. See my marked up drawing. Turn off power to the System first. Move the plug in from Aux 3 to Aux 5 then turn on system. Put it in Service mode - Press aux 5 for the filter pump. We will have to reassign that in your automation to run properly but this is just a test that the Aux 5 socket is working.

Hi! Here are the additional pictures. The other pipes on the pool side are a valves 1 pipe for the solar recirc system and 1 for the return to pool, which also connect to the clearner line. See attached pictures. One question and pardon my ignorance, but why are we looking to change setup of pool equipment? Setup has been working fine for 5 years without issues until now.

Hi! Why do we need to reassigned anything? The setup has been fine for 5 years. Configuration and marking shall be good as I am the first owner of this pool and was built and has only been touch by the pool builder Anthony and Sylvan. What make you think the setup is the issue? I though this was a faulty equipment or valve. Aux 3 works...Whatever it's (light or spa) both turn on just fine. I am confused as to the need to rewire the control panel. Also I do have the iaqualink module to control equipment and setup via web interface. Would this help to see configuration ?

The automated valve on the return side is presently set to not fully close the spa rerurn when in pool mode.
That is why the spa continuously spills over into the pool when automation is in pool mode.
See pic below showing automated valve at top of pic

You need to determine what relay 3 is wired to.
Still waiting to see a better pic of that.
@HermanTX can help walk you thru that and also getting your automation and return valve set up
to have spillway mode if you're interested.

Hi! Ok. I understand the spillover control situation now, but the problem I am having is the cloudy water ramdomnly, which I did not notice before in the past 5 years. So what changed? Why now the spillover is giving me an issue I did not have before? Also Aux 3 is the Spa Booster Pump. I just confirm it by going into my iaqualink web interface. Aux 5 is being use to increase the speed of my adjustable pump. This is a digital not a actual relay connection I did years ago to be able to control the speed of the pump via a aux on my remote control. Aux6 and 7 are free. See below screen shot of my system setup.

Looks like aux 3 is the booster pump.

No idea why you are suddenly seeing that in the spa. My first thought was it's hydrogen bubbles from the SWG being returned to the spa. Have you noticed this with the SWG off?
