Spa Temperature Out of Control

I have a Vita Spa Monarque hot tub, about 30 months old. I drained it and shut it down for a month while I was travelling. Now I've fired it up again and the temperature is running out of control. I turned off the electricity at 108F. It did this while under warranty and the dealer brushed it off; I cycled the power and the problem went away.

Now I'm more concerned - cycling isn't working.

Any suggestions as to what I could do? Could it be as simple as a failed thermostat problem?

I'm a long way from a deal - can I fix this myself?

Welcome to TFP.

It is probably a relay stuck closed on the control board.

On the inside of one of the side panels should be stickers with wiring diagrams and information of who the manufacturer of the control board is.

@RDspaguy may know if it is repairable with relays that plug in or are soldered.

Vita has had some funky controls over the years, but nobody has plug-in relays that I know of. But those funky controls have issues unlike the usual guys. Still likely a stuck relay, but not as certain as with a balboa or gecko or even watkins. Haven't seen one in a good decade, so no clue what's in it.
