Spa Losing Water to Pool

New'ish build (filled in Dec). Each morning I am losing water from the spa into the pool. The spa loses water up to the jets, but then nothing more. The reason I know it's into the pool is the water rises in the pool without adding more water. Any ideas what would be causing this? Check valve issue? Thanks!

Brem,

About 90% of the time, the check valve in the Spa return line is bad or dirty.

You have this line marked as 'Spa Recur'

You can test this by just turning the 'Bubblers' valve so that the handle points to the right left. This will shut off your spillover and if the check valve is bad, it will prevent the spa from draining when the pump is off.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thank you! Just to clarify, turn the handle counterclockwise so that it blocks both the bubblers and Spa Recirc (sorry handwriting is bad)? If this works, then the check valve on the Spa Recirc line is dirty/bad? See photo.

Brem,

That is what I originally said, but after a re-think, it might be better if you closed off just the Spa Recirc line. This would prevent any leak from going back into the bubbler.

Handle to the left..

Thanks,

Jim R.
