Friends spa heater is stopping at 97 when the temp set through Omni is higher (104).

Heater is H150FDN. Starts normally and brings temp up but just stops below set temp.

Flow is good and no errors on heater panel.

Omni Service Mode - sensor shows proper temp.

Any ideas?

If you are using automation, the heater needs to be set to its highest temp setting. If the heater has a pool and spa mode, it needs to be set for spa mode.

Both heaters are set to 104 and appropriate pool and spa setting.

If the automation is using the fireman's switch, it is only commanding the heater to turn on/off. It doesn't tell the heater to switch to spa mode. If the heater has both modes, there should be a way to nail the heater into spa mode and disable pool mode. Another user went through this same thing earlier in the week.

Disconnect your heater from your Omni system and run it standalone and see if it heats your spa to 104. You need to determine if it is the Omni or the heater that is shutting down the heat at 97.

TEMPERATURE LOCK-OUT:The digital thermostat in this pool heater allows the user to lock the maximum temperature setting allowed. This feature is useful for preventing unauthorized users from manually adjusting the temperature settings higherthan desired. On a new heater, the maximum allowed temperature lock settings are initially set at the factory to90°F for POOL mode, and 104°F for SPA mode. To adjust these settings, use the following procedure:1. Use the MODE button to put the heater in STANDBY mode.2. Press and hold both the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time.3. After 3 seconds, the thermostat enters maximum temperature lock adjustment mode.4. The SPA indicator light illuminates and the numeric display shows the current SPA mode maximum temperature lock setting. Both the SPA indicator light and the numeric display flashes rapidly when in adjustment mode.5. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the desired maximum temperature lock setting. When finished, press the MODE button.6. The POOL indicator light illuminates and the numeric display shows the current POOL mode maximum temperature lock setting. Both the POOL indicator light and the numeric display flashes rapidly when in adjustment mode.7. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the desired maximum temperature lock. When finished, press the MODE button.8. The heater will return to STANDBY mode.
