spa heater and jets and spillway

hello,
We have a Pentair intelliflo new pool owners. when the spa is turned on the spillway is excessive and does not allow for heating. The jets will work and no spillway action until we turn on the heater. As soon as we turn on the heater, the spillway begins and its not a low flow its a big flow. Any advice on how to balance it so the spillway isn't so big when we are trying to heat the spa?

Do you have an automation system, if so which one?

When in the Spa mode, the spillover should stop and the heater on or off should nothing to do with it.

Show us several pics of your equipment pad. Something is set up wrong.
