Thanks AJW, if once I plug each one in turn do you think it is possible to put a one way valve one determining or is it leaving through the spa drains on the floor

Anything is possible.

It will be difficult getting a check valve between the diverter and where your pipe goes into the ground.

Your plumber did you no favors the way he setup your valves.
