Can I balance using a drain valve? Obviously I can't adjust the 600GPH in but if the pump is less than 600 GPH I can balance using a valve out near the equipment since there is so much gravity pressure.

As long as you are pulling the water from where you need to. Did you finalize where the pump will be? Deep or shallow?
Your FURTHER READING DRAINING article indicates a deep pump and shallow fill: "Put the pump in the deep end and fill from the shallow end if your fill water is nearly the same temperature as the pool water, you have a saltwater pool, or have very high CH." I have 2 of those 3; saltwater and high CH. I guess technically I don't have a saltwater pool as who knows how long the SWG has been ineffective/not working?

Oh - Sorry I thought you were going to drain it down some first like 1/4 and then go from there.
Is the pool safe to swim in with these chemical levels if I don’t get to this until next week?

You can safely swim in a pool as long as the FC is above the minimum and at or below SLAM level based on your CYA. You must also be able to see the bottom of the pool in the deep end of the pool.
Thx. Pool is crystal clear and oddly enough always has been even with these high TA, CH and CYA levels

I would be real careful not to burn out your well pump. Check it often and maybe even give it a break every hour for 10 minutes or so. Check if there is a duty cycle I can't imagine it's designed to run 24 hours straight.
Hi team, just an overdue update here. The new SWCG has been placed into service and the chemicals are balanced as they should. I'll tackle the lights next but really appreciate the confidence to go this solo.
