Thank you Kim! We stripped the forms at the end of January and backfilled.....compacted .....compacted....and compacted!!!!
Beginning of Febuary, we cut the trenches and started the plumbing....1600 feet of PVC!!!!! 3" down to 1.5"!!!

SO much dirt!! Looks like the rain and water helped as well. That is some nice dirt you have there. Did you do the compacting in "lifts"? aka add 6", compact, add some more, compact again, add some more.....................

Did the dirt stain the house? Did the driver have skills and not hit the house?

Quick note on resizing photos. Quickest way I've found to resize photos individually without any special program is:

1) Copy the photo in File Explorer and rename as XXXX - Resized.jpg.
2) Right click new copy of file in File Explorer and Open With > Paint.
3) Click Resize icon option at top.
4) With Percentage selected (default), Enter 50 for Horizontal. Vertical will change to 50 also. Click OK.
5) Save file.

Note: 50% usually gets you below the limit for pictures originating from phones. For DSLR photos, you may have to use 10, 20 or 30% because they can be massive in size.

Kim....drivers had plenty of room to get in and out. I purposely left the gate area wide open when i built the fence for that purpose. After the travertine gets installed, I will build the rest of the fence and put in a double gate.

Febuary 5th.....Start of Plumbing Project!!!!
We are now caught up in my build. The only thing i have to do today is finish building the header at the equipment pad. Then pressurize the system and hope for the best!!!!
Equipment will be delivered to day!!!!! I got everything from Polytec Pools out in Nevada - great people - great prices - no tax - free shipping.

the pic from the air makes that piping look like it is walkway! That is a huge run! Glad I did not have to smell all of the glue needed LOL

Yeah that is *some* travertine Is there any left for other people LOL

If you have a free moment see about unpacking a crate or two and checking to make sure it is all in good shape. You might even find some you really like or not like. The likes can go right where your eyes fall when you first see the pool. The not likes are hidden to be used a cut up tiles. (Yeah I have control issues.)

Well, header is built............trench for power is dug............Electrical is piped.........and niche grounds are potted....
Holy POOP..................alot of digging and alot of pipe.....and alot of glue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I built a little template on the 2x4 frame you see at the header.....spaced every thing out nice and neat and in proper order for equipment set. then i just rolled pipe over each other to get them in the right location! Pain in the but - but it will look pretty when finished. Have to do a little cleaning up today and spread some sand on the pipes for the inspection tomorrow! fingers crossed!

The pics you have taken will come in handy if something happens down the road. If your life is anything like mine you will never need the pics because you have them! IF you did NOT have them is when you would need them so it is a win-win I hope!

How many cans of glue did you go through? Are the clothes in the trash?

Perimeter electric and plumbing inspection today....fingers crossed!

Backfill done! All piping bedded in at least 6" of sand.......I used up almost 18 yards that i had!

Like nothing ever happened.........all my hard work - gone!!!! LOL
Work the real job tomorrow then gonna clean up a little on Wed
Next step is the installation of a 1,000 gallon propane tank in my front yard. Have to dig the "grave" and trench for all the plumbing for it.

Well, back to a torn up yard....including the front yard this time!!!
Dug a 17'x4'x 5'D "grave" for the 1,000 gallon propane tank. also trenched all the way around the perimeter of yard so piping can be layed. When done, I will have risers coming up for the following appliances.

Range/Oven
Small Tankless Hot Water heater for the master bath
BBQ Kitchen
Fire Pit (back right corner of yard)
Tiki Torches around perimeter
Fire/Water Bowls for Pool
Gas Pool Heater
Whole home generator

John???? So you are converting your inside the house stuff to gas? When go you go big!!! How long will 1000 gals of gas last with all of that running off of it?
