Hi - hoping someone might have some insight into whether what I want to do is possible. I have an existing Pentair SolarTouch that's on its own circuit and simply exists to turn the actuator value open/closed if there is heat available on the solar. That's how it was setup when I bought this house. The pool pump is currently a single speed that's starting to bleed us dry with power consumption. Looking to replace that with a B&D Variable Speed... and looking into whether or not the SolarTouch relay can support the B&D. I know the B&D automation board doesn't interface with the RS-485, but I did see where the SolarTouch has a separate SPST Relay... obviously I wouldn't wire that to the B&D automation board unless I want to fry everything and electrocute myself, however, is there any way at all to get the SolarTouch to override the B&D's schedule when there is solar heat available?
