Solar temp sensor wire length

I know this is an old one but I find myself in similar situation with needing to extend the temp sensor wire. What was your end solution and has it worked out over the long run?

Our solar temp sensor run is a bit over 100ft. I used genesis 18/4 fire alarm cable because I had a ton of it leftover from building our house 17yrs ago lol. It has been online since June 15 last year and has not posed any issue.
