Soft spots under fiberglass pool shell

Welcome to TFP.

I think many folks with FG pools end up with some areas where the installer did not pack enough fill under it.

Report it to your installer and see if more fill can be packed under it. Also for a future warranty claim if necessary.

We are having a pool built and everything is basically done. We have noticed a few soft, bouncy spots in the sun shelf floor and the main pool floor. What do we need to do?
As Allen said for sure, contact your PB via email or text so the communication has breadcrumbs.

And then don't stress too hard. It's very common, and doesn't usually end in disaster. 🙂

If you already have the decking completed, it's oing to be harder to get under the pool to fill the voids and lessen the bounce. I have seen where they will drill into the pool itself and fill it from the top and then patch it. The pool is relatively thick. It shouldn't crack but can be annoying when walked on.
