I was just at a tile showroom this past week, and looked at a sample of that very tile. (I remember the Aquabella name.) It looks even better than the sample. Thank you for the information.
Do the shells it compliments the pool very well! They are making it cheap enough that if you don't you make regret it later. Your remodel looks really good
tbh the pool builder sent me a sample pic through txt and you could hardly tell it had any bling, then yesterday when they brought it and opened the box I was completely blown away. You know your pool tile is awesome when you go in your backyard at 1am and the tile is sparkling from the moonlight...
Just saw this thread, and enjoying it. My 2 cents: Before you settle on a pebble finish, talk to someone who has had the same one you are considering for 10 years. Better yet, go take a look at it. Better still, get in the pool and feel it.
My uncle had a similar pebble finish pool at his home a few years ago so in terms of feel yes it's a bit rough but nothing I couldn't handle... one summer we must have gone swimming 25 times.. as far as color of the water I was at one of my client homes for some photography work and they have a Tahoe blue finish which looks really nice however I can't get over the green hue of the water.. her husband told he considered midnight blue, but he was worried it would be too dark..
They get rougher as the years go by. Ours is 13 yrs old now and there are a few places where it feels pretty much like gravel. I can deal with it but I might've thought twice about it if I knew the texture would change so much over the years. And no, we didn't cut corners or go with the cheapest bid. It does still look nice. Just saying... don't get over sold on it.

I have Stonescapes minipebble and I hate it. Our pool is very shallow so you end up on your feet a lot. My feet are always cut up and my kids have scrapes all over their legs and arms.
I started with midnight blue but the plaster quickly faded (less than 2 years) and now the pool has a greenish hue which is the last thing I wanted.
You can easily see the difference between the new piece and what is now in my pool. Pretty much all the pebbles lost their color except for the tan and black ones which were probably the only non-artificial colors to begin with...

I don't remember what Pebble Tec color we installed ... a deep blue something ... but it's definitely not the same color today it was 13 years ago. It started to fade pretty quickly. Seems like we started out with maybe 1 million pebbles and now we're now down to about 800,000 lol
I'm starting to lean towards tropics blue after looking online for a few hours today.
Pebble was scheduled for today, but my mom forced $4000 on to me
