I had a saltwater lx installed about 4 weeks ago and noticed this small leak under the skimmer. It seems to be bubbling under the protective coating under the skimmer. Should I replace the skimmer gasket or will silicone fix this? The builder put silicone at that joint but it’s still leaking. Would a new butterfly gasket fix this? it’s a Hayward wise mouth skimmer. I’m not sure a butterfly gasket was originally used as they installed the skimmer with a gasket on the front and behind the wall and then cut the liner after installation.
In in the first 4 weeks of ownership we had a bad pump, a hose from the filter start with a pinhole leak and then blow out and a control board on the swg go out. And now a leak on the skimmer. So far it’s been frustrating.
