I have a coleman vista 18x48 pool. I cut one of the outlet bigger so I can use a larger intex inlet. I keep getting a slow leak after putting everything together. It comes with one gasket which goes in the inside of the pool. If I get the same gasket to place outside will it stop the leak? I've seen a few people do this mod on YouTube but they didn't have a leak. Any suggestions.

That should work perfect.. The good through wall connections have dual o rings

And don‘t forget to use pool lube - really helps to get a good seal.
