Slowly progressing...

You are right!...I’m just learning as I go along ...hoping that my common sense and intuition will help me as I sort through all the information out there for every aspect of a successful pool installation.
I’ve pretty much gone through everything in my head a gazillion times to make sure I’m not forgetting anything!

Thank you!

We made some serious progress today, unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pics of us laying down the liner pad and the cove molding...we were on a roll (and a mission!) and we just kept going!

We did also get the liner in!!...woo-hoo!!...lol...

...it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it to be, there are a couple wrinkles on the sides (that did come out with the vacuum)...but for the most part it’s pretty good.

I am a little concerned about one end (the end facing you in the first pic) it’s not quite up against the wall like the rest of it. I’m waiting til tomorrow in the sun to continue filling, when it will be more pliable.

LOOK AT YOU!!! WOW! Give that man some time off and he gets things done!!!

For that area where it is not quite touching you might be able to sock "kick" it or use a toilet plunder to help move it closer. (sock kick is to make sure your feet slide good on the vinyl) A soft push broom may also be helpful to get a tiny bit more material to that area to work with. Be real slow and careful to make sure the edges of the broom does not scrape the new liner.

Right!...it’s great having time to do what needs to get done!

I decided to leave it, and just continue to fill it during the day when the liner is warm and able to stretch easily. I didn’t want to kick, pull, tug, etc from the other side and have that side pull away. I’m hoping the water will stretch it out gradually, and the liner will eventually end up where it’s supposed to be!

Looking really great so far!! I know you've got to be excited about jumping in there soon. LOL
Thank you sir! ...I am excited...and ready!

Well I never............I had no idea they even made that! Does it cost the same? Where do you find it? That is so cool!
It’s a little more expensive than regular white schedule 40 pvc...lol...that one foot piece of 2” was $12.81 plus about $10 to ship it. So yea, I wouldn’t plumb the whole pool with it! lol
There are a lot of places online that sell it, but in 5 to 10 foot pieces (or more)...flexpvc.com is the only place I found that would sell it by the foot.

I also put the top seats on today...

...it didn’t go as smooth as I was expecting. The spacing between a few of the uprights was off and I wasn’t able to use the same holes in the top plates that were originally used...not a big deal. I used different ones or made new ones.

I did have to slide a couple of the uprights back-n-forth to correctly space the top seats...it’s all good now!

Did I talk to you about keeping the area under the skimmer and return "safe" from water overflow? If not here goes:

-dig down about 3" in the area under the skimmer and return. Think about how far out water could splash out of the skimmer if it is overfull.
-fill the hole up with gravel or such.
-put a stepper (paver) or two on top of that making sure to give a it slight angle away from the pool

What you are trying to do is have any water that comes out of the skimmer and return from eroding the dirt and sand from under the pool. When I get a big rain the water will over flow the skimmer so this is very necessary. I do it under the return as well just to be on the safe side.

How is the liner sitting? It sure looks good in the pics!

Yes you did!...thank you!...I will definitely incorporate something like that for overflow when I get to the drainage around the pool.
