Slowly "greening" over the course of a week

Hi, all.

We've been dealing with two issues that I think are complimenting each other. First, I believe one of the laterals in the sand filter has a tiny crack. That's allowing a very fine layer of sand to layout around the pool over time. Second, we have a lot of trees around the pool. We usually keep a solar cover on it, but leaves and pine straw will sometimes make their way into the pool. These two things together add up to a very light "film" on the vinyl liner that is more pronounced at any creases or corners. The pool looks great after a good brushing with the vacuum head, but it will slowly return to that dingy after a week or so.

I took a sample up to the pool supply store just to see what their recommendations were. I have a good test kit as well and checked their results against mine. Below is what was measured.

StoreMe
FC910
CC01
pH7.37.6
TA65100
CH75200
CYA4560

As you can see, there are some differences (per expectations). My question to this group is this. Is there something obvious in my (or the store's) test results that points to something I should address first?

I’d go get it now. Don’t use tabs anymore, your CYA is already high for a non-SWCG pool.

What is crystal shock?

Ok, cal hypo. Ok to use, but will cause calcium to rise over time. Better to use liquid chlorine on the regular, and when you SLAM.

Check online to see if your walmart has this (search for "liquid chlorine). It is 10% and likely cheaper than what you have been buying....Lb/Lb...
