SLAMming a Fiberglass Spa?

Can you safely SLAM a fiberglass spa? Seems like a very high chlorine level for fiberglass.

A standalone spa? Why, just drain it.

Fiberglass is the most inert to chlorine of the materials. But no reason to go above SLAM level FC based on your CYA.

Thanks Marty - yes - it is a stand alone spa. I was just thinking that there could be algae growth in the piping that SLAMing may eliminate. Very cheap to drain and re-fill, but I will say it has become increasingly difficult to balance in the past year or so leading to more frequent re-fills
