I’ve added 1,024 ounces of 12.5% chlorine to a crystal clear pool over a 3 day span and there is still somehow enough organics and algae in the pool to burn up a dose of 256 ounces in less than 12 hours? I would assume that I would be able to visually see that big of a problem?
 
You should scrub everything. Scrub inside skimmers, under main drain covers, on weir doors, inside ladders, and behind removable lights if applicable.

Mine did the same thing, until I found this in the ladder. Passed OCLT the next night. Doesn't take much.

We have been scrubbing everything that we can get to and not finding anything, not seeing anything in the filter either. I tried asking this question on a different thread and didn’t really get an answer, but can it be in the pipes?
