If I can reconstruct the history here (and I realize there may be many test and additions you didn't post number for):
Sunday - FC was 4 ppm and you added
2 hrs later it was at 15
2 hrs after that it was at 8.5
At bedtime it was 7.5 and you added
Mon morn - it was 8.5 and you added
at 8 AM it was 9
(and then more adds and test)
So today (Tues) in the morning it was at 9.5, with more adds and tests later
Sun and Mon were high consumption days, judging by the adds and it kept dropping quickly after.
That's very normal with heavy algae, especially since you may not have been on a regular test/add schedule at that point.
Mon into Tues it looks like the rate of drop may be slowing down, if I read your posts correctly. That is also good.
It's a battle, and does take time. Your choice as to whether to quit early, of course, or to continue on. There is no quick fix, but it does seem like the tide is beginning to turn, although slower than you would like. This is a process, that takes patience and time.
Sorry to note, if you do decide to drain and replace, there will still be algae lurking in places that you just can't get at. So you will still need to SLAM the new water. But it will be a shorter period. And things will look great so you can swim in clear water rather than look at green. The deciding point is the cost of the new water vs the ongoing cost of the large amounts of Cl you are buying (and time spent testing, brushing, cleaning filters, etc.).
