I am about to slam pool for mustard algae. I have a PH of 7.8 and a TA of 100. Do I need to get the PH down between 7.2 and 7.5 before I SLAM? Just trying to get the SLAM done before I close for the season.
Thanks
Yes, lower the pH to about 7.2 then perform a regular SLAM Process. Once you are sure you have passed those 3 SLAM criteria, then you can increase the FC to Mustard Algae levels, but only for a 24 hr period. Good luck!

Just pour slowly near the return jets. You can brush the area if you don't have great circulation. Be careful of the wind direction (fumes) and of course not to splash.
