Yellow or Mustard Algea?

The FC lost .5 and the CCs were .5 ?

Yes .5 for both 👀😮🤭😊

So… 👀 after a little more reading (like I said I’m a dumbass) OCLT loss of <1ppm is considered a pass? I thought OCLT had to be 0 🥴🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

And if we go back and look at my last three test OCLT has been <1 FC and .5 CC

Below are the OCLT results for the last three days.

Wednesday
OCLT: 1.0
CC: 0.5

Thursday (tested a few times but used the result I got twice)
OCLT: 0.5
CC: 0.5

Friday
FC: - 0.5
CC: - 0.5

OCLT Update:

PM test @ 10:14 PM
AM test @ 5:44 AM

FC: - 0.5
CC: - 0.5

Leaving town this morning so I added 1 gallon of chlorine this morning. Left another gallon for the family to top off tomorrow morning and depending on when I return Sunday I may have them add another gallon Sunday morning.

When I return I want to try the following:
🔹Hit the main drain with the hose
🔹Clean filters again
🔹Empty out skimmer basket and baskets by the pool pump.
🔹 Ordering the exact doser from Taylor today.

I have 2 pool lights which I may be able to get to without hopping in the pool and one in the spa will be a little tricky as it sits the lowest at this point I don’t think it’s a bad idea to pop out and check.

NGL for a guy with what looks like a crystal clear pool at this point I feel pretty defeated that it’s not passing OCLT and will be even worse if it’s because my hand has been heavy or light on the 10ml.
0.5 loss & 0.5 cc’s is a pass!

Well 💩 guys… I will have the fam still keep up with chlorine demand while I’m out and start bringing numbers back down to non slam levels when I return.

I’ll end this post by saying thanks team. Your patience is like no other. Where do I send the e-Alcohol too? 🍺 🍻 🍸

And one last thing 👀 “I ain’t a smart man” 😆

Curious, would it have been cheaper and easier to just drain the pool, scrub/clean and then refill?

I don’t think so. I spent about $100 in chlorine to keep things at SLAM levels for the two weeks and my other parameters weren’t bad to begin with just the staining from keeping chlorine levels low over the winter.

Since this post I have had zero issues and no return of the organic staining. My chlorine addition is about 30oz a day and the pool seems to stay in the happy zone as far as chlorine is concerned.
