SLAM complete--what's next

Hey everyone! Finished my SLAM yesterday, CC is holding steady at 0.5 (All of my numbers are below, as of this morning) and passed the OCLT. What is the next focus? Is it to increase the pH into a more "neutral" value? I know that I need to just sit and wait for the FC to drop a bit, but can I start to tackle some of the other water chemistries while I'm waiting?

At what point does it become "swimmable"? Just worried about the FC being so high, is there harm to swim in it?

FC: 23.5 ppm
CC: 0.5 ppm
pH: <7
TA: 90 ppm
CH: 350 ppm
CYA: 35 ppm

Thanks so much!

Not sure why the FC is that high when your SLAM level FC is 16 ppm (CYA of 40, round up), but you need for the FC to come down to 10 ppm or less before you can accurately test pH. Then adjust to the 7's. With the TA level you show, it should be in the 7's with just aeration, if needed.
You can swim once your FC drop to your SLAM level FC or below.
Maintain your FC in the target range by adding liquid chlorine on a daily basis.

I question that pH test. Generally, high FC reacts with the test reagent and turns it magenta, giving a falsely high reading. Also, after several days of a SLAM and no adjustments made, pH should be the same or higher than you started with, so 7.2 or better.

The water will be swimmable when the FC is below SLAM level for your CYA and the pH is between 7.2 and 8.0. So you'll probably have to wait for the sun to do its magic on the FC.
