skimmer vacuum plate really stuck in skimmer...Help!!

Just make sure that it's rated for underwater repairs like jb weld waterweld or pc11 marine epoxy.
Other ways to cut the plate. Hacksaw blade. Hot knife melting a cut.
Maybe use a torch to heat the edge of a metal scraper and push in through the plastic.
Note: Lots of stuff can go wrong when trying to cut out the plate. Possibly you could cause more damage to the skimmer. Or, maybe get the knife stuck in the plastic like Excaliber.

No problem...I am thankful for the help. I will have to check these out after getting that darn vac plate out!
Silly question but did you try turning off the pump and open the pump basket to release all pressure? Then while everything is off and open try and pry it out?
Update...It's out!!!!! 
I also happened to have some JB Weld for some reason. So I have also repaired the skimmer crack with that. Now waiting for everything to set up and cure and I'll be on my way to swimming again. Of course, I need a new vacuum plate, but that's ok. Thank you everyone for all the suggestions.

What an odd problem! I'd be inclined to grab that sumbich with vice grips and yank it the heck out.
I know this was literally years ago and I doubt you will see this original poster but im an idiot and also did this, if by any chance in this world you could tell me what worked for you, you would be my savior
